CB & I Group Training Program
Come to a kick-off meeting on either February 6 at 7pm or February 8 at 9am at Luke’s Locker in Market Street to learn more about the program.
Our 12-week training program begins on Monday, February 13. You will enjoy coached group workouts with qualified, certified and experienced coaches. A low coach: athlete ratio will ensure that you are right on track to having a great race.

Finish Strong Coaching invites you to join our 2012 Ironman Texas training group.
For Ironman Texas 2011, Finish Strong Coaching had 26 athletes competing in their first Ironman and all 26 finished this remarkable feat!
The program is much more than your typical on-line training program. The Finish Strong group program will contain many opportunities for direct interaction with coaches at special workout sessions and classes. We have lived and trained on the roads being used in IM Texas and will use our years of coaching experience including multiple finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii to help you Finish Strong.

7th Annual Jr Hi Summer Cross Country Program
7th Annual Jr Hi Summer Cross Country Program
The 7th Annual Jr Hi Summer Cross Country program for rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be held once again during summer break at McCullough Junior High School. Finish Strong Coach Dana Lyons and McCullough Junior High Girls Head Cross-Country Coach Kristin Collins join forces to offer a program designed to help girls and boys get ready for the fall cross country season. The workouts will help improve your endurance, strength, speed and run technique.
The 10-week program begins on Monday, June 4 and runs through August 17 with one week off for the 4th of July holiday (July 2-6.) We will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 to 8am at McCullough Junior High School track. Monday and Wednesday workouts will consist of longer, easy runs of 30 to 45 minutes with focus on form and technique. Friday workouts will be structured, high intensity sessions to prepare the girls for fall races.
Runners are grouped by ability. All abilities welcome. All participants receive a t-shirt and a weekly training plan. Sign up by May 7 and pay only $110. Cost after May 7 is $125. Click here to sign up today.

For those who are beginning to run, Finish Strong Coaching offers a group run program that meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9-10am at TC Jester Park in the Oak Park area beginning on Monday, November 14 through February 24.

Tri-Specific Swim Workouts
Coming soon - Additional night of tri-specific swim workouts begins Wednesday, October 5th
Finish Strong Coaching holds group coached swim workouts every Monday at Creekwood Pool, across from McCullough Jr. High School from 7-8pm. Beginning in October, we will meet from 7:30-8:30pm on both Monday and Wednesday evenings. Consult the calendar for time and location changes.
Creekwood features a six-lane pool is heated and lighted. All six lanes are open for Finish Strong Coaching use during this time. Rest room and outdoor shower facilities are also available. There are no swim “toys” so please bring your own kick board, paddles and pull buoy. Coached athletes may attend free of charge. Non-coached athletes may attend for $8 per session or purchase a 10 session punch card for $60.
Tuesday Night Track
Starting at 7:30pm starting September 20 through November 1st at McCullough Jr High School. Join us every Tuesday for a weekly track session to help improve your endurance, strength, speed and technique. All abilities are welcome. Track is lit. Please consult the calendar for time and location changes.

Finish Strong Coach Dana Lyons is F.I.S.T. certified to offer you expert Tri Specific bike fitting. If you bought a new tri bike or don’t feel 100% comfortable with your current triathlon riding position, Dana can help evaluate and adjust your position, including the cleat/pedal interface, to give you the individual fit you need.

Dana Lyons, founder of Finish Strong Coaching, has been an avid competitive athlete for over 25 years in local, national and world multisport events. Dana is the 2009 USAT SMW Regional Duathlon Champion, top ranked duatlete and top ranked master’s triathlete. Dana also competed in the 2008 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Motivated by his passion for multisport and his desire to help others, Dana launched a coaching service and for the past five years has been helping athletes of all abilities to train while maintaining balance in their family life and career. Dana’s winning strategy is to train smarter not longer.
